A R Rahman wins Golden Globe

Music director A.R. Rahman has won a Golden Globe award in the Best Original Score category for his music in British director Danny Boyle’s Slumdog Millionaire.
Slumdog Millionaire also swept up more awards including Best Drama and Best Director for Danny Boyle. Slumdog Millionaire also won Best Screenplay and Best Musical Score for the Academy Awards.
The film story is about an 18-year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai who goes on to win a staggering Rs.20 million on India’s programme “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?” game show.
