Minimum Requirements
- Passed the 2011 SPM examination with at least 8As (A and A+ only)
- Not exceeding 19 years old of age on 1 July 2012
Additional Requirements
- Good command of the English language, both written and oral
- Flexible, versatile and posses high teamwork capabilities
- Excelled in both extra-curricular activities and sports
Sponsorship to pursue Bachelor Degree (Honours) at foreign universities will be extended subject to meeting the Bank’s approved criteria.
Japanese Government (Monbukagakusho: MEXT) Scholarship for Undergraduate Studies
The Government of Japan offers the following scholarship programmes each year for Malaysian nationals to apply. Interested applicants are advised to read the guidelines carefully. Unless stated otherwise, scholarship applications should be made to the Embassy of Japan, Kuala Lumpur. Please note that the requirements and application period differ among these programmes.

(1) | Late submissions will not be entertained no matter what reasons are given. |
(2) | Applications without sufficient documents (stated in the guidelines) will not be considered. |
(3) | Submitted application forms and documents will not be returned, whatever reasons given. |
(4) | The decision on successful candidates made by the Embassy of Japan is final. Any queries on the final decision will not be entertained. |

Announcement
Apprentice Training Program in Automotive Mechatronic intake for July 2012 is now opens. Interested candidates may fill-in the application form together with a detail resume, copies of educational certificates, testimonial and a recent passport-sized photograph (n.r) to our office address (as per attached in the application form).

Requirements :
- Aged between 17 and 22
- Completed SPM with at least 4 credits
- Possess good interpersonal skills

Program :
- 3 year training + 4 year working bond
- Special program under the National Dual Training System (NDTS) in collaboration with department of Skills Development (JPK) under Ministry of Human Resources
- The training program covers the latest technical knowledge and diagnostic skills in line with the advanced technology of Mercedes-Benz products
- The following certification are awarded upon graduation :
- Mercedes-Benz Automotive Mechatronic Training Certificate
- Mercedes-Benz Certified Maintenance Technician Certificate
- NDTS k-Worker Certificate (equivalent to Malaysia Skills Certificate Level 3) recognized by JPK and related industries
- Scholarships are offered to all candidates.
- Employment is guaranteed via bond after completion of the training with a minimum monthly salary of :
- - RM 1,800.00 in the 1st year
- - RM 2,200.00 in the 2nd year
- - RM 2,600.00 in the 3rd year
- - RM 3,000.00 in the 4th year

This unique scholarship offers not only financial aid, but also the golden opportunity to intern or train with global brand names.
This marks the seventh consecutive year of the scholarship scheme which has, to date, disbursed over RM6.6 million in scholarships that has benefited 100 students. This scholarship is truly one-of-a-kind, as not only do the recipients benefit from academic and soft skills development, they are also given the opportunity to acquire hands-on industry experience with world-renowned multinationals.
Unlike conventional scholarships that only provide financial assistance, TWCS recipients are guaranteed practical training with some of the world’s most successful companies. Qualifications and Eligibility
The following are the qualifications and minimum entry requirements for the TWCS programme:
SPM | Minimum of 8As (combination of A+, A, A-) |
Taylor’s Foundation | Minimum CGPA 3.55 |
Foundation / Matriculation from other colleges | Minimum CGPA 3.80 |
STPM | Minimum GPA 3.33 in 3 subjects (minimum Grade C) |
A Levels | ABB and above |
South Australian Matriculation (SAM) | ATAR 85 and above |
Canadian Pre-University (CPU) | 85% and above |
UEC | Maximum 12 points in 6 subjects (excluding Chinese), and must include 5Bs, English minimum B3 |
The above qualifications and requirements refer to results obtained by students from one sitting in 2011.
Other recognised and equivalent qualifications will also be considered on a case-to-case basis. Verification will be based on actual results.
Other requirements:
- Applicants are required to write an essay of 200-400 words in the online application form.
- The essay’s question is “Describe one of the most challenging moments in your life and how it has affected you.”
- Below are some useful tips for applicants to take note when preparing the required essay :
- The essay must address the question/topic provided.
- Focus on an angle that is suitable for the topic and elaborate on the story to make it interesting, unique and different from others.
- Do provide concrete experiences instead of making generalisation.
- Avoid repeating statements in the essay. It is important to be concise and clear in the essay statements.
- Write well and accurately by proofreading the essay before submission.
- If all or part of the essay submitted is found to be plagiarised, applicants will be immediately disqualified.
- Applicants must demonstrate an excellent record of extra curriculum activities, participation in clubs and societies, sports, community service and others.
- Applicants must possess good attitude and leadership qualities.
- Applicants must have a high level of English proficiency and good communication skills.
- Applicants should not be a recipient of any other scholarships, financial aid or award from any education institutions or organisations.
- Shortlisting of scholars will be based on the above entry requirements and performance during the face-to-face interview.
Application Process
Preliminary Assessment
All online applications will be assessed based on the information provided in the application form as well as on the written essay.
1st round interview
An interview (via phone or face-to-face) will be conducted with the 1st round of shortlisted candidates.
2nd round interview
Further shortlisted candidates will be required to do a presentation during this interview session with the Scholarship Committee and representative(s) from the partner companies.
Closing Date
Closing date for application is by 6 April 2012 (Friday).

ACCA SIMPSON SCHOLARSHIP
The Simpson Scholarship exists to reward talented ACCA students who have already proven themselves to be of sufficient merit and distinction in ACCA examinations.
Each year, the Simpson Scholarship will fund the ACCA examination and registration fees of five students for a period of five years or until they become members – whichever happens first.
In order to be eligible for the Scholarship, applicants must meet the qualification criteria and submit a 1,000 word essay.
Congratulations to the winners of the 2011 scholarship. They are: Ms Shi Weijia of China; Mr Mark Lombardi of Malta; Ms Ojikutu Muyinat Olajumoke of Nigeria; Ms Darya Timoshina of Russia; and Mr Ian Kidd of the UK.

NOTTINGHAM UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA SCHOLARSHIP
School of Biomedical Sciences
The University will offer four full scholarships (tuition fees) for Biomedical Sciences students in their first year of study for September 2012 intake.
All offer holders for the BSc Biomedical Sciences with minimum A-level grades of AAB (or equivalent) are invited to apply.
Application forms are available online (pdf) or can be obtained from the Admissions Office. Please submit your application form to the Admissions Office with your completed course application.
Applications will be accepted until 20 August 2012. Candidates will be notified by early September. For more information please contact Dr Ting Kang Nee.
School of Biosciences
Two scholarships, open to both Malaysian and International candidates, covering 100% of the tuition fees for the first year of study are available for this course. International candidates should be aware that there are additional fees for visas and other external factors.
Applicants should apply for the course in the normal way, attaching a covering letter asking to be considered for the scholarship and indicating any special factors that should be taken into consideration.

As far as I am concern, there are many organizations, whether from gov or private sectors that offer scholarships to our students nowadays.
Approximately around 57 scholarship awards being offered every years and most of them awarded by gov, private company, banks or state foundations.
